Within the framework of cooperation and the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between Thai Nguyen University (TNU) and Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI), Russian Federation, the first group of eight exchange students from MPEI successfully completed a two-week exchange program from June 18 to July 2, 2025, at the University of Technology – Thai Nguyen University.
During their stay, the students attended lectures on Renewable Energy in Power Systems, covering topics such as an overview of renewable energy, in-depth study of specific renewable sources, and the use of simulation software for renewable energy integration in power systems. The program included both theoretical and practical sessions. In addition, the students had opportunities to interact with Vietnamese students and joined a field trip to Thac Gieng Hydropower Plant together with faculty and staff.

In their final session, the students presented their group project on “Renewable Energy Sources”, which was highly appreciated by the instructors for its thorough preparation and professionalism. Based on their project presentations and reports, Thai Nguyen University presented Certificates of Completion to all MPEI students.

Throughout the program, the Russian students received warm support and guidance from the Board of Presidents of Thai Nguyen University, the Leadership of the University of Technology – Thai Nguyen University, and the faculty members involved in teaching.
