On the afternoon of March 24, Thai Nguyen University organized a seminar on EMI- English as a Medium of Instruction. The event aimed to facilitate experience sharing and enhance the quality of English teaching and learning throughout the University system.

Representatives of the University’s Department of Science, Technology and International Affairs; leaders and lecturers from the School of Foreign Languages; heads of English divisions/departments and English lecturers from member universities of Thai Nguyen University, as well as students majoring in English Pedagogical Practice from the School of Foreign Languages attended the seminar.

During the seminar, participants had the opportunity to engage with Dr. Emily Boersma, Director of the English Language and Intercultural Center at Oklahoma State University, the USA. Dr. Boersma shared insights on key topics including classroom interaction and enhancing student engagement; teaching specialized subjects in English; and practical experiences in organizing learner-centered classrooms.
The program represents a meaningful initiative contributing to the effective implementation of the National Foreign Languages Project (2017–2025), while gradually advancing the goal of developing English as a second language at Thai Nguyen University.
