In order to implement Official Dispatch No. 10/BGDĐT-KHCNTT of the Ministry of Education and Training on updating and synchronizing data in accordance with new requirements—serving connectivity with the National Population Data Center and enhancing the effectiveness of management and administration across the university—on January 22, Thai Nguyen University organized a training workshop on reviewing and updating statistical reporting data for the academic year 2025–2026 on the Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS).

At the workshop, participating units were provided with focused guidance on reviewing and completing learner profiles, including those of undergraduate students, master’s students, and doctoral candidates, directly on the HEMIS system. This is the subsystem with the highest level of data fluctuation in the current update phase, due to requirements for the addition of personal identification data and the standardization of academic information. Key contents emphasized included updating Citizen Identification numbers, synchronizing data from Excel files, performing data entry operations, and checking information on the software to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the data.

In addition to learner data, the workshop also guided the review and updating of several other subsystems on HEMIS related to academic staff and scientific research activities. Accordingly, units were instructed to update information on lecturers assigned to academic programs, professional qualifications, visiting lecturers, and current policies and entitlements; at the same time, to supplement data on research projects, academic works, and scientific publications of staff and lecturers during the academic year. Several contents related to the management of facilities, infrastructure, and training equipment were also reviewed to ensure overall data consistency across the system.
