Conference of Representatives of Officials, Civil Servants and Employees of Thai Nguyen University’s Administrative Sector in 2026

On the morning of 6 March, Thai Nguyen University (TNU) held the Conference of Representatives of Officials, Civil Servants and Employees of the Administrative Sector of TNU in 2026. Dr. Nguyen Van Tao, Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee and Secretary of the TNU Party Committee, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of TNU, Dr. Nguyen Hong Lien, Vice President of TNU, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and President of the TNU Trade Union, along with representatives of offices, functional departments, affiliated units, and delegates representing officials and employees of the TNU Administrative Sector attended the meeting.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of TNU, emphasized that the conference of officials and employees is an important annual event that reflects the spirit of democracy, responsibility, and consensus within the Administrative Sector as well as across the entire University. It also serves as a forum for reviewing the results achieved in 2025, discussing existing challenges, and agreeing on directions, tasks, and solutions for the implementation of activities in 2026.

At the conference, TNU leadership acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of officials, civil servants, and employees of the Administrative Sector in 2025. Under the leadership of the Party Committee and the direction of the University’s Board of Directors, the Administrative Sector successfully fulfilled its assigned tasks and effectively advised on a number of key areas, including organizational restructuring, human resource development, admissions, training, science and technology, international cooperation, digital transformation, and administrative reform.

Presenting the report at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Ha Xuan Linh, Chief of the TNU Office, stated that in 2025 Thai Nguyen University continued to achieve many positive results across various fields. Organizational and personnel work was strengthened, with the University now having more than 1,000 PhD holders and 206 professors and associate professors. Admissions reached over 96% of the planned quota, with nearly 24,000 newly enrolled students. Several new academic programs were launched, while science and technology activities recorded significant progress with over 2,100 scientific publications, numerous research projects, 155 books and textbooks published, and 11 patents and intellectual property registrations.

At the conference, Dr. Nguyen Van Tao, Secretary of the TNU Party Committee, emphasized that 2026 is a significant year for implementing the tasks of the new term. Accordingly, TNU will focus on restructuring the organizational system toward greater efficiency, promoting digital transformation in governance, enhancing the quality of training and scientific research, expanding international cooperation, and gradually strengthening the University’s academic reputation.

The conference also heard reports from the People’s Inspection Board and the financial report, conducted the election of the new People’s Inspection Board, and discussed a number of key issues related to the effective use of shared resources, staff development, the establishment of performance evaluation indicators, and the completion of job position schemes.

At the conference, delegates voted to approve the draft conference resolution with a high level of consensus. The Administration and the Trade Union of the TNU Administrative Sector also signed the Emulation Agreement for 2026. The conference concluded successfully in a serious, democratic, and responsible atmosphere, completing all agenda items as planned.
