With the aim of strengthening the understanding and awareness of Politics and Ho Chi Minh’s ideology for leaders, staff, and students across Thai Nguyen University (TNU), while responding to the emulation movement on eliminating shack and dilapidated housing in Thai Nguyen Province, on the morning of June 16, a delegation of Thai Nguyen University led by Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung, Secretary of the TNU Party Committee and President of Thai Nguyen University, paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap at the ATK Dinh Hoa Special National Relic Area and presented social welfare support to Phu Dinh Commune, Thai Nguyen Province.

Members of the delegation included Dr. Nguyen Van Tao, Deputy Secretary of the TNU Party Committee and Vice President of TNU, Dr. Nguyen Hong Lien, Vice President of TNU, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Member of the Standing Committee of the TNU Party Committee and President of the University Trade Union, along with representatives of the University Office, the Party and Mass Organizations Office, functional departments, unions and associations, affiliated units, member universities, and outstanding students representing the entire university system.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation offered flowers and incense and observed a moment of silence in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh, expressing profound gratitude for the immense contributions of the great leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese nation.
Before his sacred memory, the leadership, staff, faculty members, and students of Thai Nguyen University pledged to continue studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, moral example, and lifestyle; to uphold the spirit of solidarity, innovation, and creativity, and to further enhance the quality of education and scientific research, thereby contributing to the continued development of Thai Nguyen University in response to the nation’s reform and international integration.
The delegation subsequently visited the Pu Don Hill Relic Site to offer incense in memory of General Vo Nguyen Giap, where President Ho Chi Minh chaired the ceremony conferring upon him the rank of General in 1948. The delegation respectfully commemorated General Vo Nguyen Giap, an outstanding disciple of President Ho Chi Minh and the first Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People’s Army.
As part of the program, the delegation visited the Management Board of the ATK Dinh Hoa Special National Relic Area, planted commemorative trees within the grounds of the Pu Don Hill Relic Site, and presented financial support of VND 100 million for the construction of two houses for disadvantaged households in Phu Dinh Commune.
The activities formed part of the program in conjunction with the Ceremony Announcing the Prime Minister’s Decision on the merger of the Northern College of Law into the University of Sciences under Thai Nguyen University, as well as the announcement of personnel appointments of Thai Nguyen University.
The program provided an opportunity for TNU’s staff, faculty members, and students to reflect on the nation’s glorious revolutionary traditions, strengthen political awareness, foster patriotism, and reinforce a sense of responsibility toward the community. It also demonstrated Thai Nguyen University’s commitment to accompanying local authorities in promoting social welfare initiatives, improving the well-being of local communities, and spreading humanistic values throughout society.
