In an effort to strengthen students’ capacity for international integration, the Vietnamese Student Association of Thai Nguyen University organized an event entitled “Youth Connection – Exploring Vietnamese–Chinese Culture.” The event attracted a large number of students and youth union members from across the University.

The program was honored to welcome Dr. Le Van Hieu, Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Student Association and Chairman of the Vietnamese Students’ Association of Thai Nguyen University. The event was held in collaboration with Tuan Kiet English Language Center, providing a meaningful platform for cultural exchange for students with an interest in the Chinese language, while simultaneously promoting the academic clubs within the University.
The cultural booths were well-prepared by students from Thai Nguyenn University showcased the distinctive features of Vietnamese and Chinese culture, including traditional costumes, cuisine, folk games, calligraphy, renowned scenic sites, and artistic performances.

The tug-of-war contest brought an spiriting and exciting atmospheres, reflecting the unity and vitality of the students. A notable highlight of the program was the “Golden Bell Challenge: Exploring Vietnamese–Chinese Cultural History” which gathered 100 candidates. Participants responded to a structured set of questions on history, culture, geography, and Chinese characters in both Vietnamese and Chinese, following an elimination format to identify the most outstanding competitors.

In addition, the short video contest themed “A Loving Message about the Homeland, Country, and the People of Vietnam” offered students an opportunity to express their creativity in the Chinese language, thereby contributing to the dissemination of the unique values of Vietnamese culture.
Students participating in the event expressed their enthusiasm and highly appreciated the opportunity for cultural exchange, skill development, and knowledge enhancement. Many affirmed that the program enriched their understanding of cultural traditions, strengthened their confidence in communicating in Chinese, and fostered greater awareness of preserving and promoting national cultural values.
Dr. Le Van Hieu emphasized that the program serves as a meaningful and enriching platform that nurtures students’ dynamism and creativity, while also fostering the development of clubs, teams, and student organizations across the University.

Before the end of the event, the Organizing Committee presented awards accroding to the following categories: Impressive and Creative Cultural Booth; Short Video Awards (01 First Prize, 02 Second Prizes, 03 Third Prizes, and 06 Consolation Prizes); and the First Prize of the “Golden Bell Challenge: Exploring Vietnamese–Chinese Cultural History.” These recognitions honored students’ noteworthy efforts and encouraged the continued promotion of cultural awareness and engagement within the student community of Thai Nguyen University .
