Meeting to Deploy Training and Learner Management Software

On the morning of October 27, a meeting was held at the University of Information and Communications Technology, Thai Nguyen University, to continue the deployment of management software in the fields of training and learner management. Attending the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Xuan Linh, Chief of Office of Thai Nguyen University; the Rectorate Board of the University of Information and Communications Technology; and a representative from Viettel’s Thai Nguyen Branch.

 

      The delegates emphasized: The digital student application is a digital platform for Thai Nguyen University students' learning and service experience, developed centrally with the orientation of "One Single Application - One Common Account for the Entire Thai Nguyen University." Through the application, students can monitor data on their academics, student records, class schedules, academic results, training programs, exam schedules, tuition information, and scientific research topics; they can perform academic procedures directly on the digital student application: credit registration, tuition payment, training progress, requesting exam deferral, re-taking courses, academic leave, etc. The application will help reduce the load on the training management system; assist the university in promoting digital transformation, comprehensive connection within Thai Nguyen University's educational ecosystem; and create a foundation for implementing other smart digital services such as AI for learning, academic dashboards, behavior ranking, etc.

To ensure synchronized deployment progress of the digital student application, the Viettel representative proposed that member universities using training management system B collaborate to provide API technical information and student accounts; the unit will assign a technical focal point to coordinate connection testing, data confirmation, and agree on an authentication mechanism. The Viettel representative also proposed methods for integrating data from the training management systems into the common data warehouse.

Receiving the opinions and suggestions from the units, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Xuan Linh, Chief of Office of Thai Nguyen University, requested the University of Information and Communications Technology to continue close coordination with Viettel in providing basic data for the digital student software, ensuring the digital student application is announced before November 20, 2025; the university is to support the supplementation and completion to meet the requirements for the data warehouse to integrate data from the training management systems into the common data warehouse, ensuring progress as planned. At the same time, he affirmed that promoting the deployment of management software in the fields of training and learner management is an important step for Thai Nguyen University in implementing and concretizing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. He emphasized that Thai Nguyen University is currently implementing phase 3 of the project with the item of digital transformation across the entire University, aiming for the strategic goal of becoming a Digital University and being ranked among the top 500 universities in Asia (according to QS rankings)./
