Thai Nguyen University Holds Working Session with Letuin Edu Vietnam Co., Ltd. on Cooperation in Semiconductor and Korean Language Training

On the afternoon of January 15, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Thai Nguyen University (TNU), chaired a working session with Letuin Edu Vietnam Co., Ltd. to discuss potential areas of cooperation in semiconductor education and Korean language training.

Participants in the meeting included Mr. Kim Yong Tae, Chief Executive Officer of Letuin Edu Vietnam Co., Ltd.; representatives of the leadership of the Department of Science, Technology and International Affairs; the Department of Academic and Student Affairs; the Institute of Excellence in Education and Research, the Center of Training and International Development, as well as representatives from the University of Sciences, the School of Foreign Languages and the International School.

During the session, the two parties exchanged views and deliberated on prospective cooperation initiatives, with particular emphasis on training in semiconductor technology and the Korean language; the establishment of a trilateral cooperation model among Thai Nguyen University, Kyungwoon University (Republic of Korea), and Letuin Edu Vietnam Co., Ltd.; and several other cooperation orientations to be pursued in the coming period.

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation and provided an overview of Thai Nguyen University as a regional university operating under a two-tier governance model, characterized by multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral training, and serving as a major center for education, scientific research and technology transfer in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region as well as nationwide.

At present, Thai Nguyen University comprises 14 training units with nearly 4,000 staff members and more than 2,500 teaching staff, including 206 professors and associate professors and over 1,000 doctoral degree holders, accounting for approximately 41% of the total faculty. In 2025, the University’s total enrollment exceeded 115,000 learners, supported by a diverse portfolio of 350 academic programs across most fields of study. Thai Nguyen University is currently educating approximately 1,000 international students from 26 countries and territories, and maintains a strong contingent of faculty members trained in the Republic of Korea, along with numerous effective cooperation programs with Korean partners.

Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung proposed that Letuin Edu Vietnam Co., Ltd. serve as a strategic connector to strengthen the engagement of Thai Nguyen University with universities, enterprises and local authorities in the Republic of Korea; jointly develop and implement training programs in priority technological fields such as semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence (AI), biotechnology and the Korean language; and facilitate linkages with Korean enterprises to enable Thai Nguyen University to participate more deeply in innovation ecosystems, contribute high-quality human resources, and collaborate in research and science and technology products.

In his address, Mr. Kim Yong Tae presented an overview of Letuin Edu Vietnam Co., Ltd., an education and training enterprise with notable strengths in semiconductor education and high-quality human resource connectivity. Over recent years, the company has implemented a wide range of training programs and cooperative initiatives with domestic and international partners. Kyungwoon University of Republic of Korea is a reputable, multidisciplinary institution with recognized strengths in engineering, technology, aerospace, logistics and management, emphasizing practice-oriented education and international cooperation, and committed to developing human resources aligned with the needs of industry and society.

Mr. Kim Yong Tae expressed his aspiration to act as a bridge for cooperation between Thai Nguyen University and higher education institutions, enterprises and local authorities in the Republic of Korea, particularly Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, and affirmed the company’s readiness to closely coordinate with Thai Nguyen University in the immediate implementation of training programs in semiconductor technology and specialized Korean language training for the information technology and semiconductor sectors.

In concluding the working session, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung emphasized that the two parties had reached consensus on the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation, with a focus on semiconductor training, Korean language education and several other technology-related disciplines. He further expressed his expectation that Letuin Edu Vietnam Co., Ltd. would actively support Thai Nguyen University in strengthening connections with Korean enterprises and local authorities in the period ahead./.
