Thai Nguyen University Holds Working Session with the FESA Project Delegation – University of Southampton (United Kingdom)

In the morning of January 2, Thai Nguyen University (TNU) held a working session with the delegation of the FESA Project from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, to exchange views and discuss orientations for future cooperation in scientific research.

The delegation of the FESA Project – University of Southampton was led by Dr Vu Thi Thu Trang, Business School, Head of the Research Group, an expert in human resource management, organisational behaviour psychology, culture and traditions, and religion, together with researchers, lecturers, and project assistants from the University of Southampton.

Representing Thai Nguyen University were Dr Mai Anh Khoa, Director of the Department of Science, Technology and International Affairs, along with representatives of functional departments, affiliated institutes and centres, and member universities.

At the meeting, Dr Mai Anh Khoa presented an overview of the position of Thai Nguyen University, its strengths, and development orientations in education and scientific research, with particular emphasis on research areas associated with sustainable development and the practical demands of the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region of Viet Nam. He also expressed TNU’s desire to further strengthen cooperation with prestigious universities and research institutions worldwide, including the University of Southampton.

During the session, experts from the University of Southampton shared initial research findings on women entrepreneurs in South Asia and Southeast Asia, highlighting opportunities, challenges, and key factors influencing business activities within the region’s diverse socio-economic contexts. On this basis, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions and proposed potential directions for cooperation in joint research, academic exchange, and expert networking in the coming period.

The visit and working session of the University of Southampton delegation contributed to further strengthening international cooperation between the two higher education institutions, while opening up practical and sustainable opportunities for long-term collaboration in education and scientific research.
