Spreading Reading Culture, Joining Hands for the Community

On the occasion of the 136th birthday anniversary of the President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2026), on May 19th, the International School of Thai Nguyen University, in coordination with the People’s Committee of Thanh Mai Commune, organized the Opening ceremony of the Community Library Corner and Community Hall associated with the Community Healthcare and Elderly Care Center.

Attending the program were representatives of the People’s Council and the People’s Committee of Thanh Mai Commune, together with representatives of local departments, unions, and organizations, as well as leaders of the International School.

Within the framework of the program, the International School donated more than 200 book titles to the Community Library Corner, contributing to the promotion of reading culture and creating opportunities for local residents, especially students, to access valuable sources of knowledge. The donated materials included reference books for study and research, recreational books, children’s books and stories, life skills books, family healthcare guides, and other useful publications with educational and intellectual value. In the upcoming time, the International School will continue mobilizing and donating more books, particularly textbooks at all educational levels, in order to support the learning needs of children from policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged households in the local.

The Community Library Corner and Community Hall associated with the Community Healthcare and Elderly Care Center was established with the aim of fostering reading culture, creating an open space for cultural and social activities, and contributing to the enhancement of spiritual well-being and healthcare services for local residents, especially the elderly. The project also serves as a meaningful activity reflecting the sense of social responsibility and community engagement of the International School, Thai Nguyen University.

Through this program, the International School continues to promote the spirit of studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle, thereby contributing to the development of a humane learning community and sustainable local development./.
