On the evening of January 28, a special live television program entitled “Building the Nation with United Hands” was jointly organized by the People’s Committees of Cao Bang Province, Hanoi City, Nghe An Province and Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with Vietnam Television, on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s return to Viet Nam to directly lead the Vietnamese revolution (January 28, 1941 – January 28, 2026).

The program was broadcast live from four historically significant locations: Cao Bang, Hanoi, Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City.

Representing Thai Nguyen University, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Thai Nguyen University, participated in the program.

The television bridge program commemorated the historic milestone in early 1941, when President Ho Chi Minh returned to Pac Bo after 30 years abroad in search of a path to national liberation, directly leading the Vietnamese revolution and laying the ideological and strategic foundations for the revolutionary movement that culminated in the victory of the August Revolution in 1945.

The program was structured around a coherent narrative of “from strategic decisions to action, from history to the present day,” and comprised three thematic chapters: “Hands That Charted the Path,” “The Embrace of the People,” and “Raising the Banner High.” It highlighted President Ho Chi Minh’s strategic vision, the principle of placing the people at the center of revolutionary practice, the strength of great national unity, and the enduring relevance of historic strategic decisions in the current phase of national development.

The image of “hands” served as the central symbolic motif throughout the program—hands that sought the path to national salvation, hands that shaped revolutionary strategies in times of hardship, and the united hands of successive generations working together to build and develop the nation.

Through the harmonious integration of traditional and contemporary music, enriched by diverse regional cultural elements, the program conveyed profound messages of self-reliance, resilience, national pride and aspiration, fostering a shared sense of responsibility for national construction and defense in the new era.

The live television program “Building the Nation with United Hands” was not only a significant political and cultural event, but also a solemn call to action, affirming that each individual represents a vital “hand” contributing to the collective endeavor of building a strong, independent and prosperous Viet Nam.
