Thai Nguyen University: Gathering on the Occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20) and Summary of 2025 Activities of the Association of Retired Lecturers – University Administration Offices

On November 12, Thai Nguyen University (TNU) held a meeting to celebrate the 43rd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2025) and to review the 2025 activities of the Association of Retired Lecturers of the University Administration Office.

Dr. Nguyen Van Tao, Secretary of the Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung, PhD, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Thai Nguyen University; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Ha, PhD, Vice Chair of the University Council and President of the TNU Trade Union; Dr. Nguyen Hong Lien, Vice President; representatives of the Office, Party and Union Office, functional departments, socio-political organizations, and members of the Association of Retired Lecturers of the University Administration Office attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Luong Van Hinh PhD, recalled the traditions and significance of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20th November) – an occasion to honor and express gratitude for the valuable contributions of generations of teachers to education in general and to the development of Thai Nguyen University in particular.

In 2025, the Association extended to 59 members, including many professors, associate professors, and doctors. The Association paid attention to member welfare and support activities; its members actively participated in social and community engagement, local socio-economic development, and held key positions in political and social organizations. Moreover, many members remained active roles in teaching, scientific research, and implementation of ministerial and provincial-level projects, and enthusiastically participating in cultural, artistic, and sports movements as well.

In the upcoming time, the Association aims to further strengthen its role, enhance activity quality, promote the exemplary role of retired teachers and senior members, and organize more exchange and celebration events, contributing to building a stronger and more cohesive organization.

In his address, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung, PhD, expressed sincere appreciation for the contributions and dedication of former lecturers, officials, and staff who have played a vital role in the establishment and development of Thai Nguyen University. He highlighted the university’s significant achievements over the past year in enrollment, training, international cooperation, and research. TNU’s facilities have become increasingly modern and synchronized, moving toward the goal of becoming a digital university and ranking among the top 500 universities in Asia according to the QS rankings. He also expressed his hope that retired lecturers would continue to share their insights and valuable experience to support the sustainable growth of Thai Nguyen University.

During the event, the Association of Retired Lecturers of the University Administration Office welcomed new members and organized a cultural exchange program, fostering connection and camaraderie among generations of Thai Nguyen University’s educators.
