Thai Nguyen University Successfully Organizes Computer-Based Mock High School Graduation Exam for Nearly 3,000 Candidates

 

In accordance with Official Dispatch No. 614/QLCL-QLT dated April 15, 2026 issued by the Quality Management Department -Ministry of Education and Training on piloting exam questions for the High School Graduation Examination, on April 28–29, 2026, Thai Nguyen University, in collaboration with the Thai Nguyen Provincial Department of Education and Training, organized a computer-based mock exam for nearly 3,000 candidates located in the province.

The exam was held at the Center for Testing and Education Quality Assurance (Thai Nguyen University), with the participation of students from various high schools and continuing education centers in the province.

This activity plays an important role in piloting exam questions and the computer-based testing format in line with the Ministry of Education and Training’s orientation. The results provide practical evidence for authorities and organizing units to assess procedures, technical infrastructure, and system operation capacity, while also helping students become familiar with the new testing format amid the ongoing digital transformation in education.

To ensure the exam was conducted as planned, preparation was carried out early, comprehensively, and rigorously. The Center for Testing and Education Quality Assurance reviewed and upgraded computer labs, ensured stable connections between the server and client computers via LAN, and prepared sufficient equipment, technical plans, and necessary conditions to guarantee a safe and stable testing environment.

Verification of candidate information before entering the examination room.

At the same time, communication and guidance for candidates were implemented effectively. Information regarding candidate lists, exam schedules, room layouts, and important instructions was clearly and promptly provided, enabling students and schools to participate in compliance with regulations.

With the aim of providing maximum support to learners, the exam was organized completely free of charge. All costs related to facilities and exam organization were covered by the Center for Testing and Education Quality Assurance, Thai Nguyen University.

Throughout the two days, the exam was conducted seriously, in full compliance with regulations, ensuring safety and confidentiality. All stages—from registration, security checks, exam instructions, supervision, technical support to handling situations—were implemented synchronously and effectively.

The successful organization of this mock exam marks an important step in the roadmap toward implementing the official computer-based High School Graduation Examination, expected from 2027. It also demonstrates Thai Nguyen University’s proactive role in advancing digital transformation in education, as well as its effective coordination with local education authorities.

The results further affirm the capacity, assurance and reputation of the Center for Testing and Education Quality Assurance in organizing large-scale examinations, particularly those conducted on digital platforms.
