On the morning of September 9, in Tra Linh Commune, Cao Bang Province, Thai Nguyen University (TNU), in coordination with the University of Education – Thai Nguyen University, organized a training program to support STEM/STEAM education for local school teachers. The program helped support the cooperation between Thai Nguyen University and Cao Bang Province while strengthening connections between higher education institutions and schools in the northern mountainous region.
At the TNU side, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Vice President of Thai Nguyen University; representatives of the Office, the Department of Science, Technology and International Affairs, and the University of Education – Thai Nguyen University. From Cao Bang Province, participants included representatives of the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Science and Technology, Tra Linh Commune, Tra Linh High School, and several primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary schools in the commune.

Speaking at the program, Assoc. According to Assoc. Building on these strengths, the University proactively developed the training plan and mobilized its lecturers and experts to work directly with local teachers, sharing experience and providing support in implementing STEM/STEAM activities.

The University of Education – Thai Nguyen University presents STEM equipment to Tra Linh High School.
At the program, the University of Education – Thai Nguyen University presented a STEM equipment kit worth VND 20 million to the participating primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary schools. The donation demonstrates the University's commitment to and support for local education.
The equipment is expected to help teachers effectively organize experiential and hands-on activities, as well as STEM/STEAM product design and development. It will also contribute to creating a learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, explore, innovate, and apply their knowledge to solving real-world problems.
Through the training program, teachers had opportunities to update their teaching methods, exchange experiences, and learn approaches to organizing STEM/STEAM educational activities that are suited to the practical conditions of their schools. The program also provides a foundation for further expanding cooperation between Thai Nguyen University and the education sector of Cao Bang Province, contributing to educational innovation and the development of high-quality human resources in the locality.
