In the context of increasingly deep international integration, Thai Nguyen University continues to reaffirm its position as a regional hub for knowledge, scientific research, and innovation in Viet Nam’s Northern Midland and Mountainous region. The research outcomes produced by its lecturers, scientists, and students across member institutions not only effectively serve local socio-economic development but also act as a “passport of knowledge,” enabling the reputation of the entire Thai Nguyen University system to steadily expand onto the regional and global scientific map.
In 2025, scientific and technological activities at Thai Nguyen University recorded remarkable achievements. The total number of publications of the university was 393 scientific papers published in journals indexed in the Web of Science, along with 153 articles indexed in Scopus, demonstrating research capacity that is increasingly aligned with international standards. In addition, 155 high-quality monographs and textbooks were published, enriching academic resources for education and research. Thai Nguyen University also successfully organized 344 national and international scientific conferences and workshops, creating vibrant academic forums that foster knowledge exchange and strengthen networks among scholars.

A wide range of international academic forums have been hosted by member universities of Thai Nguyen University. Notably, the VEAM Economic Forum 2025—an esteemed academic event of the Vietnamese and international economic community—was organized at the University of Economics and Business Administration. In the field of environment and sustainable development, Thai Nguyen University cooperated with reputable international organizations such as ICRAF and CIFOR to implement a series of strategic workshops on climate change. At the same time, the University hosted the International Conference on Climate Change 2025 at the University of Agriculture and Forestry, attracting the participation of numerous domestic and international scientists.

In parallel, large-scale international scientific conferences continued to highlight Thai Nguyen University’s role as an academic connector. The ICTA 2024 International Scientific Conference, jointly organized by the University of Information and Communication Technology and Hung Vuong University, together with the 7th International Conference on Engineering Research and Applications (ICERA 2024), hosted by the TNU- University of Technology, attracted hundreds of international scholars to share research findings and expand professional collaboration.
