On the afternoon of July 4, the University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU), Thai Nguyen University (TNU), officially launched the Government – University – Enterprise Collaboration Ecosystem. The initiative aims to bring enterprises directly into the university environment, enabling close collaboration in education, scientific research, innovation, digital transformation, and cultural development.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Representing Thai Nguyen Province were Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Mr. Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen Province. The event also welcomed representatives from central government ministries and agencies, professional associations, enterprises, and domestic and international partners.

Representing Thai Nguyen University were Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Thai Nguyen University, together with representatives of the TNU Office and the leadership, faculty members, staff, and students of ICTU.
The event took place as Viet Nam is actively implementing key strategic resolutions of the Politburo, including Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training; and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW on the development of Vietnamese culture.
As a regional university serving the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region, ICTU has adopted a practical approach by establishing a collaborative ecosystem within its own campus. The model creates an environment in which government agencies, universities, enterprises, faculty members, researchers, and students work together in education, research, innovation, product development, technology transfer, and human resource development.
In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia, Rector of ICTU, emphasized that the Government – University – Enterprise Collaboration Ecosystem is the result of years of capacity building, partnership development, investment in human resources and facilities, and careful preparation. With the Communist Party's strategic directions aligning with the University's strong commitment and the growing engagement of the business community, ICTU believes that the time is now right to turn this vision into reality.
He affirmed that ICTU will continue expanding the ecosystem while fostering an increasingly modern, open, and collaborative environment for learning, research, and innovation, enabling the University to serve as an effective bridge connecting knowledge, technology, enterprises, and society.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung highly appreciated ICTU's efforts in developing and implementing the Government – University – Enterprise Collaboration Ecosystem. He noted that in the context of globalization and rapid technological advancement, a nation's competitive advantage depends not only on technology but also on the cultural identity of its local communities and the nation as a whole.
The Deputy Minister stressed that the knowledge acquired at university is only the starting point, as technology evolves continuously. To keep pace with scientific and technological progress, students should embrace lifelong learning, cultivate a strong reading culture, and develop the habit of continuous self-learning to expand their knowledge, broaden their perspectives, and remain adaptable to emerging trends.
He further emphasized that fundamental science, technological science, and applied science all play indispensable roles and should continue to be strengthened through comprehensive cooperation. In addition to the Government – University – Enterprise collaboration model, he highlighted the importance of expanding international partnerships to learn from global experience, access advanced knowledge and technologies, and enhance national competitiveness in an increasingly integrated world.
The Deputy Minister also affirmed that the future of a nation begins with its schools and universities. He expressed his appreciation for the continued support of the leadership of Thai Nguyen Province in creating favorable conditions for higher education institutions to thrive, thereby empowering students in their academic and professional journeys.
