NEW SCIENTIFIC FINDINGS OF THE DISSERTATION

The dissertation achieves the following results:

1. In theory:

The dissertation clarifies the concept of context and context-based teaching for high school students; it proposes a process for context-based teaching of Algebra 10 at high schools in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Simultaneously, the dissertation identifies and describes in detail the components and levels of expression of problem-solving skills, contributing to the theoretical basis for the formation, development, and assessment of these skills in high school students.

2. In practice:

The dissertation proposes specific and feasible pedagogical measures to organize the context-based teaching of Grade 10 Algebra for high school students in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, thereby improving the effectiveness of mathematics teaching in high schools; the dissertation develops a system of exercises and situations linked to practical contexts, providing useful reference materials for high school mathematics teachers in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, helping teachers to more easily apply the proposed pedagogical measures in the teaching process.

The dissertation conducted experimental teaching to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed pedagogical measures

Based on the results obtained, it can be affirmed that the research objectives have been achieved, the research tasks have been completed, and the scientific hypothesis is acceptable. The research of this thesis has confirmed that teaching methods for context-based teaching of Grade 10 Algebra for high school students is effective and feasible, improving the quality of mathematics learning for students. This is a preliminary research direction contributing to promoting integration into the education system of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

APPLICATIONS IN PRACTICE AND THE NEEDS FOR FURTHER STUDIES

The practical applications

- Contributing to the development of practical problem-solving skills for students in context-based teaching of Grade 10 Algebra for high school in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

- The dissertation’s research results make a valuable contribution to postgraduate training at Thai Nguyen University of Education and at other institutions conducting research in Mathematics.

- The dissertation is a good reference for teachers, students, graduate students, and doctoral candidates specializing in the theory and methodology of teaching Mathematics.

Further studies needed

Continue researching to further develop the theoretical basis of context-based teaching, as well as propose methods and measures for training and developing students' problem-solving skills in different subjects and for different student groups in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
