On the morning of December 7, the National Final Round of the Star Awards 2025 English Contest for Students was held at the Conference Center of Thai Nguyen University with the presence of numerous distinguished delegates, lecturers, and students.

In attendance were Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Thai Nguyen University; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Vice Chair of the University Council and President of the Trade Union of Thai Nguyen University, representatives of Wilmar CLV Group, leaders of the Youth Unions of national, regional, and key universities, the Youth Union and Student Association of Thai Nguyen University, together with lecturers, students, and the top-performing teams representing clusters across the country.
In her remarks, M.A. Nguyen Viet Nga, member of the Standing Committee of the Youth Union and Vice President of the Student Association of Thai Nguyen University, stated: “After nearly three months of implementation under the close direction of the Party Committees and Executive Boards of national, regional, and key universities, and with the sponsorship of Wilmar Group and the Simply brand, the contest has attracted more than 151,700 candidates from over 190 universities and colleges nationwide. Each cluster recorded participation exceeding 15,000 candidates. The organization was standardized, and the contest format was renewed to increase practical application while ensuring the interests of sponsors.”

The 2025 contest was organized under the theme "Generation Z: Voices On The Future", focusing on three key areas: Gen Z perspectives on generation differences and multigeneration workplaces in the contemporary context; Psychological pressures faced by young people amid societal fluctuations; Smart and sustainable consumption trends among modern youth.

Following three stages—online rounds, selection rounds, and cluster finals—18 candidates from six distinguished teams representing six major clusters (Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; Thai Nguyen University; the University of Danang; Hue University; and Can Tho University) advanced to the National Final.
In the final round, each team produced an introductory video posted on the contest’s official Fanpage as part of the “Most Popular Team” voting activity, and competed in four rounds: Identification – Rapid Judgment – Strategy – Decision.

At the conclusion of the National Final Round, the Organizing Committee presented the following awards:
- First Prize: Hue University
- Second Prize: University of Danang
- Third Prize: Thai Nguyen University
- Three Consolation Prizes

Sharing her thoughts, Doan Thi Binh Nguyen, a student of the International School, Thai Nguyen University, expressed: “Participating in Star Awards 2025 has been a meaningful and memorable experience, enabling me to strengthen my English proficiency, teamwork skills, and practical problem-solving abilities. I am deeply proud that the team from Thai Nguyen University achieved Third Prize. This accomplishment motivates me to continue improving my foreign language skills and preparing more effectively for my future career.”

The Star Awards 2025 has further contributed to reinforcing friendship and collaboration among national, regional, and key universities; expanding opportunities for cooperation between universities and enterprises to enhance training quality; and providing a dynamic academic platform for students to exchange and develop foreign language skills. The contest also helped broaden students’ social understanding, raise awareness of modern consumption trends, and underscore the essential role of foreign languages in academic advancement and future career opportunities.
