Twelve outstanding students from Thai Nguyen University (TNU) have been awarded the 2026 Vallet Scholarships, with a total value of VND 408 million. The scholarships provide meaningful encouragement, motivating the students to continue striving for excellence in their studies, scientific research, and personal development.
The 2026 Vallet Scholarship Award Ceremony for university students in northern Vietnam was held at the Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy in Hanoi. Among the recipients, 12 students from TNU’s member universities were selected, including the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Education, University of Sciences, University of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Technology, International School, University of Information and Communication Technology, and TNU- Lao Cai Campus.

12 Thai Nguyen University students receive Vallet Scholarships in 2026.
In 2026, the Vallet Scholarship Program awarded more than 2,150 scholarships nationwide, with a total value of approximately VND 45 billion. In northern Vietnam, 624 scholarships were awarded, including 457 for high school students and 167 for university and postgraduate students. TNU had 12 students among the recipients, with each receiving a scholarship worth VND 34 million, bringing the total value of the scholarships awarded to TNU students to VND 408 million.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Chu Hoang Ha, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, expressed his appreciation for and recognition of the sustained contributions of Prof. Odon Vallet, Prof. Tran Thanh Van, Prof. Le Kim Ngoc, and the “Rencontres du Vietnam” Science and Education Organization to education, science, and Vietnam’s younger generation.

Prof. Chu Hoang Ha noted that, for more than a quarter of a century, the Vallet Scholarship has accompanied generations of Vietnamese students and young researchers. To date, the program has awarded nearly 55,000 scholarships, with a total value of more than VND 600 billion.
According to Prof. Chu Hoang Ha, the significance of the Vallet Scholarship extends beyond its financial value. It represents trust and encouragement for young people pursuing education and scientific research. Each scholarship recognizes the recipients’ efforts while motivating them to continue pursuing knowledge and contributing to society.
