In his address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Hung extended his New Year greetings and best wishes to all officials, staff members, and employees. He emphasized that 2026 has been identified as a pivotal year of acceleration and breakthrough, guided by three major strategic priorities.
First, Thai Nguyen University will continue to expand its presence in localities such as Cao Bang and explore establishing overseas campuses, with prospective locations in Laos, Timor-Leste, and the Philippines. TNU will also promote distance education in regions with significant Vietnamese communities abroad and develop a connected ecosystem linking its campuses in Thai Nguyen with neighboring provinces, including Quang Ninh and Hai Phong.
Second, Thai Nguyen University will actively implement the directives of the Party Central Committee and the Law on Higher Education, while undertaking organizational restructuring and streamlining to enhance operational efficiency. TNU will also collaborate with Thai Nguyen Province to establish the Provincial Innovation Center at the University.
Third, and most importantly, the University will steadfastly prioritize enhancing training quality. In 2026, TNU will focus on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary programs, particularly in applied fields. Training curricula will be refined to be more streamlined and practice-oriented, equipping graduates with the competencies necessary to work effectively in both the public and private sectors. Teaching methodologies will be further innovated; competency-based assessment systems will be strengthened; and learning resources will continue to be improved. Upholding quality as the core principle will remain the central objective guiding the University’s development in 2026.
