On the morning of June 19, Thai Nguyen University welcomed a delegation from Wonkwang University, Republic of Korea, led by Mr. Kang Yeon Seok, Director of the Office of International Affairs.

Representing the host university were representatives from the Department of Science, Technology and International Affairs and the Department of Academic Affairs and Student Management, together with leaders and international relations staff from the School of Foreign Languages, the International School, the Institute for Excellence in Education and Research, and the Center for Training, Professional Development and International Cooperation.

During the meeting, the two institutions discussed their potential in cooperation and future directions, with a focus on academic programs, research, and academic exchange. Thai Nguyen University proposed expanding international joint degree programs under the 2+2 and 1+3 models, strengthening international internships and research activities, promoting faculty and student exchanges, and creating more learning opportunities for students through scholarship programs offered by Wonkwang University.

In particular, both sides agreed to prioritize collaboration in research and education in areas of shared strength, including Korean language education, Korean language and culture, biotechnology applications in medicine, and other academic disciplines of mutual interest.

Speaking at the meeting, the representative of the Department of Science, Technology and International Affairs expressed pleasure in welcoming the delegation from Wonkwang University and reaffirmed Thai Nguyen University's commitment to strengthening partnerships with leading higher education universities in the Republic of Korea. The representative emphasized that such cooperation would create broader opportunities for learning, research, and professional development for students and academic staff.

Mr. Kang Yeon Seok expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by Thai Nguyen University and spoke highly of the proposed areas of cooperation.
