At present, Thai Nguyen University is collaborating with the Viettel Group to implement three key information technology and digital transformation projects. These include the development of internal management software systems, such as Document Management, Human Resource Management, Single Sign-On (SSO), Student digitization code, Financial and Accounting Management, Asset Management, Data Warehouse, Integration Platform, and the Phase 1 Training Management System. Among these, the Digital Student System is identified as a unified digital platform designed to comprehensively support students in learning, training, and development within a modern digital environment.

During the workshop, representatives from Viettel Thai Nguyen presented an overview of the Student Digitization Code System, highlighting its vision, benefits, and role within TNU’s digital ecosystem. They also introduced the new system’s main features and core functions, provided operational guidance on configuration and data setup, and led hands-on practice sessions on key operations. Moreover, Viettel representatives shared the development roadmap towards full digital transformation. They emphasized the goal of building a unified digital ecosystem — a shared digital platform serving all TNU students, connecting faculties, departments, and student organizations within a single digital environment. This aims to enhance efficiency, strengthen student management, and personalize learning, training, and development experiences for each student.

The Student Digitization Code System consists of four components: University-level Administration Web, Institutional Administration Web, Student Web, and Mobile Application. Once operational, the Student Digitization Code will bring comprehensive benefits to students, serving as their “digital home” that manages their entire learning and training journey, provides fast and accurate access to information, and enhances opportunities for interaction, connection, and participation in activities, while enabling timely online support.

For institutions, the system will reduce administrative workload and data consolidation, improve internal communication, and enhance student management efficiency through centralized data for reporting and evaluation. At the university level, it will establish a unified data ecosystem across TNU, strengthen TNU’s image as a pioneer in digital transformation, and lay the foundation for AI applications and personalized learning through future student behavior analytics.

In the long term, the Student Digitization Code System will be further expanded and deeply integrated into TNU’s Digital University platform, supporting course registration, tuition payment, and academic and scholarship management through the application. The system will also offer personalized learning maps, career orientation suggestions, and two-way interaction between students and the university.

The ultimate goal is to develop the Student Digitization Code System into a “Digital Hub for Students” — where TNU students can learn, train, interact, and grow in a unified, intelligent, and modern digital environment.

Representatives from participating units also provided feedback on the system’s features, operations, and core functions, and agreed on the roadmap and data integration plan between the Student Digitization Code and the academic management systems of TNU’s member universities, including the University of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Sciences, University of Technology, and University of Medicine and Pharmacy. This will ensure data synchronization and consistency across the university, contributing to the successful deployment of the Digital Student App by November 2025.
