Thai Nguyen University Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Federation University Australia

On the morning of March 13, Thai Nguyen University (TNU) welcomed and held a working session with a delegation from Federation University Australia, led by Mr. Paul Oppenheimer, Chief Operating Officer of Federation University.

Dr. Nguyen Hong Lien, Vice President of Thai Nguyen University was a chairwoman of the meeting, along with representatives from TNU’s functional departments, the Center for Training, Capacity Building and International Development, the Institute for Advanced Training and Research, and the International School.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Hong Lien noted that TNU has established a number of cooperative activities with higher education institutions in Australia and expressed appreciation for the feasibility of this proposed collaboration. He also expressed his hope that Federation University would facilitate opportunities for TNU students to participate in study and exchange programs under the partnership framework. In addition, he emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in scientific research, faculty and student exchanges, and the development of international academic programs.

Mr. Paul Oppenheimer expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended by Thai Nguyen University and highlighted the many similarities between the two institutions. He also conveyed his expectation that the partnership would develop into a sustainable collaboration and that the agreed areas of cooperation would be effectively implemented in the coming period.

On this occasion, leaders of the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding focusing on several key areas of cooperation, including digital economy development, regional economic development, student and faculty mobility, and the enhancement of training and research capacity. The partnership aims to contribute to meeting human resource demands in the context of increasing international integration.
