Representatives of Thai Nguyen University Attends the Launching Ceremony of the STEM Ecosystem at the National Innovation Center

On January 31, representatives of Thai Nguyen University (TNU) attended the Launching Ceremony of the STEM Ecosystem organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) at its Hoa Lac campus.

The ceremony was honored by Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Viet Nam, leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the National Innovation Center, representatives of units under the Ministries of Finance, Education and Training, and Science and Technology, representatives of Departments of Education and Training, preschools, primary schools, lower secondary and upper secondary schools as well as STEM–Robotics teams that have achieved outstanding results in international competitions.

Representatives of Thai Nguyen University were Dr. Nguyen Van Tao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen University, together with representatives of the Department of Science, Technology and International Affairs, and the Center for Incubation - Start up and Supply of Human Resources.

The STEM Ecosystem at the National Innovation Center has been developed in line with the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, and innovation. The ecosystem aims to establish a modern STEM education and experiential learning space for students at all levels, while strengthening linkages among educational institutions, enterprises, and domestic and international organizations to promote the sustainable development of the STEM and Robotics movement.

At the event, the National Innovation Center honored teams and coaches who achieved high results in international STEM and Robotics competitions in 2025, with international rounds held in November and December 2025. This recognition acknowledged the remarkable efforts and achievements of collectives and individuals in the STEM–Robotics movement, while encouraging learning and creativity in the fields of science and technology.

Within the program framework, NIC also launched several international STEM–Robotics competitions in 2026 under its patronage or co-organization, including: Enjoy AI Vietnam and Open Asia Enjoy AI 2026, First Global Challenge Vietnam 2026, the National Championship on STEM, AI and Robotics (VSAR) for the 2025–2026 academic year, and the Act In Space International Innovation Competition. These initiatives provide additional opportunities for Vietnamese students to participate in intellectual competitions at regional and international levels.

Prior to that, delegates attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony officially launching the STEM Ecosystem, followed by presentations on the development journey of STEM–Robotics activities in 2025 and orientations for future implementation.

Within the framework of the program, delegates also visited the STEM experiential zone at the National Innovation Center. The event provided an opportunity for Thai Nguyen University to strengthen connections with innovation centers and expand cooperation in education, research, and the development of STEM education.
