Thai Nguyen University Holds Celebration for Vietnamese Teachers’ Day 20 November and Launches the S-TNU Application

On the occasion of the 43rd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20 November 1982 – 20 November 2025), on the morning of 19 November, Thai Nguyen University solemnly organized a Ceremony for Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, combined with the official launch of the “S-TNU Student Digitization Code” application. Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, provincial leaders, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training, former and current leaders from Thai Nguyen University, and a large number of lecturers, staff, and students from throughout the University.

At the meeting, the S-TNU Student Digitization Code was officially introduced as an “all-in-one” digital platform supporting learning, training, administration, and interaction. The application allows students to view class schedules, exam timetables, academic results, training scores, register for credits and academic procedures online, sign up for extracurricular and youth union activities, send feedback, and receive prompt support from relevant units. The system is fully integrated with existing training and personnel databases, ensuring transparency, centralization, and seamless information flow—contributing to Thai Nguyen University’s roadmap toward becoming a comprehensive Digital University.

On this occasion, the University awarded prizes for the 2025 “Gratitude Wall Newspaper” Contest, including one First Prize, two Second Prizes, and three Third Prizes. The contest aimed to honor creative works that convey heartfelt gratitude to teachers on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day.

In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hung, President of Thai Nguyen University, reviewed the noble tradition of “Respecting Teachers and Morality,” while appreciating the achievements that the whole university’s staff dedicated to gaining in innovation over the past academic year. He affirmed that Thai Nguyen University is committed to advancing digital transformation, enhancing training quality, developing faculty capacity, improving infrastructure, and expanding international cooperation. The University is pursuing its long-term goal of becoming a Digitalized University – Green University – Innovation Hub for the midland and northern mountainous region.

During the ceremony, lecturers with outstanding achievements in education and training were honored with high-level Government awards, including Labor Orders (Second-class and Third-class) and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, recognizing their persistent dedication to the University’s development.

Thai Nguyen University also congratulates the recognition of 02 Professors and 21 Associate Professors in 2025, highlighting the University’s significant contributions to national academic excellence and confirming its position as one of the universities with the highest faculty numbers attaining professorship titles nationwide.

In his remarks, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong extended deep gratitude to generations of educators at Thai Nguyen University. He appreciated the University’s remarkable achievements across all fields, emphasizing that these results reflect the university’s spirit of innovation and aspiration for development. He also commended the launch of the S-TNU application and its digital ecosystem, describing it as a pioneering initiative aligned with national digital transformation strategies and contributing to better student services and university governance.

Currently, Thai Nguyen Province is implementing major policies set by the Politburo, and the province looks forward to close collaboration with Thai Nguyen University in developing high-quality human resources, strengthening university-enterprise linkages, accelerating digital transformation, and advancing the development of an academic urban area. Provincial leaders reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the University in fulfilling its mission.

The program contributed to affirming Thai Nguyen University’s role as a regional education institute for training, research, and innovation in the midland and northern mountainous region. The event not only expressed gratitude to educators on the occasion of 20 November but also opened a new chapter for the University’s strong transformation in the digital era.

Transitioning into a new development period, Thai Nguyen University is striving for comprehensive reform, aiming to become a smart, green, and innovative university where learners are supported to develop holistically and where technology enhances the quality of teaching, research, and community service.
